Sera Vermillion
Sera has always had a passion for the arts, but growing up in a conservative home meant that tattooing was never something she considered. It wasn’t until she went to Vassar College in New York that she began to take an interest in the art of tattooing. While nurturing her newfound passion for tattoo art, she studied Chinese and Japanese literature and art in New York, Los Angeles, and Beijing before graduating with a BA in Asian Studies. Her background studying Chinese and Japanese art has influenced her art style, which is often described as dark kawaii illustrative with oriental themes and aesthetics. She enjoys tattooing anime and video game designs, beautiful ladies, plants, cats, and anything spooky! When not in the shop, she enjoys making jewelry, cosplaying at anime conventions, and snatching roadkill for her backyard “roadkill cemetery.”
