John Vargo

John began his art career by drawing realistic imagery and replicating still life images. Eventually getting into portraiture, he drew mainly as a hobby for family and friends. 

He took on his first tattoo apprenticeship in 2015.  John apprenticed at two studios and began his professional tattoo career in 2017 at Neff Tattoo Studio in Lancaster, Ohio.

John’s main art style is black and grey realism, favoring portraiture and dark art imagery. In addition to that, he loves to paint or draw spooky creatures, skulls, mythology, and portraits of people and animals. Large-scale tattoos are John’s preferred projects to take on.

His favorite thing about tattooing is permanently decorating the human body, giving his clients art that compliments their figure and the way they present themselves as an individual.
